Authorization management

Keep each authorization's units and dates on file, use units up as you document, and get warned when units run short.

EHR · TCM

EzPraxis keeps track of every insurance authorization, so your team sees how many units are left before booking or billing. It is authorization tracking software built into the calendar, the notes and billing.

What you can do

  • Record each authorization against the client’s insurance: the number, the date range, the authorized units or visits per service, and the allowed place of service.
  • Upload the authorization letter.
  • Use up units automatically: at checkout for EHR appointments, and on the note for TCM services.
  • See a remaining-units badge, and get warnings when units are insufficient or a required authorization is missing.
  • Link existing appointments and TCM notes to an authorization afterwards, with the Prior Authorization tool.

Good to know

  • EzPraxis warns you. It doesn’t block a service that goes over an authorization.
  • There are no alerts before an authorization expires.
